Check the rural location

Donut Resort is listed at 600 Moo 4, Pong Ngam, Mae Sai, Chiang Rai. It is a small family-run cottage property, so map the address against the places you plan to visit rather than assuming a central Mae Sai location.

Standard, Superior and Family categories appear in the inventory, with a 40-square-metre Family Room listed. Air conditioning, a refrigerator, showers, WiFi and parking cover the practical basics. A restaurant, bar and garden are also listed; confirm meal availability for your dates.

Guests liked the setting and personal welcome

Nicholas’s 26 December 2019 Superior-room review praised comfortable beds, the peaceful surroundings and the family owners. Thai breakfast with home-grown vegetables was a highlight, while personal transport was necessary for that stay.

Neil’s 13 December 2019 account described a large, clean Superior cottage with useful WiFi and a substantial Thai breakfast, but flagged the off-road location and inconsistent hot water. Prasopchok’s November 2020 review also liked the spacious grounds and vegetable-plot outlook.

Ask about the particular cottage

A more recent Superior-room account by Yu, dated 19 November 2024, reported a strong musty smell and a flimsy door. This is one guest’s experience rather than evidence about every cottage.

Confirm ventilation, door security and hot-water arrangements for the room allocated to you. Treat the older breakfast descriptions as useful context and check present inclusions before relying on meals at the resort.
