A dormitory with a distinctive interior
Dorm Des Fleurs Hostel is listed at 5/53 Moo 7, Khuk Khak, Khao Lak. Bright colours and patterned details give its dormitory a more individual appearance than a plain bunk room. The accommodation listing includes a four-bed mixed dorm with a fan, lockers, desk and linen, together with bathroom facilities.
The property also lists a garden and sun terrace, WiFi, parking, laundry and airport transfers. Those services should not be assumed to be included in the bed rate. The dorm specification identifies fan cooling; air conditioning should not be inferred from descriptions of other nearby hostels.
Two historical stays, two different outcomes
Milo, who stayed in April 2015, described a peaceful garden setting, clean accommodation and a friendly, knowledgeable manager. The guest particularly recommended choosing a single bed.
TabTabla’s May 2016 stay was less successful. Although the colourful decoration initially appealed, the guest reported dirt, ants and a main dorm door that could not be secured while everyone was out. After a complaint, staff moved the guest into a cleaner bungalow.
The contrast concerns the accommodation itself as much as service: the second guest found a different experience after changing from the dorm to a bungalow. Both reports are old, so neither supports a present-day assurance about cleanliness, security or which alternative rooms are available.
