J.B. Hut Bungalows is at 54/2 Moo 8, above Haad Yao on Koh Phangan. Listed facilities include an outdoor pool, restaurant and bar, and Wi-Fi. Balconies and hammocks appear in individual guest accounts, making time at the hut part of the appeal.
Basic fan and air-conditioned units differ, as do bathroom facilities. Confirm cooling and hot-water provision in the category you reserve rather than assuming every bungalow shares them.
The higher position brings views and climbing
Belgianguy1’s April 2023 account appreciated a hilltop sea view, pool, balcony hammock, friendly staff and Wi-Fi. The restaurant menu was limited but the food enjoyable. Lilysz’s January 2019 report described a newer hut at the top with a large balcony and hammock, good hosting and food, but a steep walk to reach it.
LewisWard’s January 2019 account also liked the pool, staff and food, while describing a walk to the beach. These historical experiences favour someone comfortable with a hillside base.
Match the hut to the trip
Ask where the offered bungalow sits on the slope and which facilities it contains. The shared pool and older hammock-and-view accounts are attractions, but the elevation should be an intentional choice, particularly when returning after dark or carrying luggage.
