Beluga Boutique Hotel: a small retreat beside Lamai’s southern rocks

Sea views, a shared pool and a quieter setting, with room outlook and beach access worth checking.

Choose the southern end of Lamai

Beluga Boutique Hotel is listed at 126/92 Moo 3, Maret, near Hin Ta and Hin Yai at the southern end of Lamai Beach. Its appeal is a smaller seaside setting rather than immediate access to the centre’s busiest streets.

Oyster’s independent inspection describes an adults-only property with 14 rooms, reached by a pedestrian passage. The boulders that make the outlook distinctive can also complicate swimming directly in front. Check the approach with luggage and ask about suitable swimming access for the conditions during your visit.

Compare room position and size

Expedia distinguishes Ground Floor Pool/Sea View and Second Floor Sea View rooms at about 20 square metres from a Front Deluxe Second Floor Sea View category at about 29 square metres. Those entries accommodate two with a double bed. A pool-view description does not mean a private pool.

Oyster describes air conditioning, a refrigerator, kettle, safe and WiFi. Some ground-floor bathrooms incorporate the site’s boulders, while Front Seaview rooms add a balcony and espresso machine. Confirm the exact category, outlook and stairs; these differences matter more than the general sea-view label.

Guests describe both relaxation and room caveats

Emily Rose L’s April 2025 review of a February stay in a Second Floor Sea View room enjoyed the rocky coastline, breakfast pastries, helpful staff and pool lounging. The same account described a stuffy room, a dark bathroom with some odour, an unlit approach and wear on outdoor cushions. The guest also cautioned that room views could be partial.

Chop dogz, reviewing a May 2025 Ground Floor Pool/Sea View stay in July, found the room clean, quiet and comfortable and felt at ease as a solo traveller, despite the hotel’s couple-oriented atmosphere. These contrasting accounts concern individual rooms and stays.

Plan the walk and confirm inclusions

Ian’s October 2025 Expedia review valued the peaceful stay and nearby food and drink, while estimating a 20-minute walk into town. Kjetil’s April 2026 review of a March stay also praised the small property and helpful staff.

Treat walking times as estimates and confirm the route after dark. Check the age policy, breakfast terms and requested room position with your booking. Breakfast praise from past guests does not establish that every present rate includes the same service.
